As you probably know by now, HTC is building the 2016 Nexus handsets. The code name of the premium model is called the Nexus Marlin. The mid-range unit is code named the Nexus Sailfish. Renders of the latter device were discovered today on the website of Tech configurations. The latest rumored specs of the handset include a 5-inch display with a 1080 x 1920 resolution. A quad-core 2.0 GHz CPU is under the hood. 4 GB of RAM is inside, along with 32 GB of native storage. We expect the Sailfish to carry a 12 MP camera in back, with an 8 MP selfie snapper in front. A fingerprint scanner also adorns the back of the unit; placed under the camera, it works by using swiping gestures. Keeping the lights on is a 2770mAh battery, and a Type-C USB port can be found on the bottom of the phone. Android 7.0 is pre - installed. The 2016 Nexus handsets could be released some time next month, or in October. The model is expected to be available in Silver, Black and Gold.
